Indonesia–Poland Business Forum, Gdansk

Pomeranian entrepreneurs met with partners from Indonesia representing companies and business environment institutions. The largest ever Indonesian delegation was supported by high-level authorities, who are a guarantor of building lasting business relations.

The Indonesia-Poland Business Forum took place on 17 June 2025 in Gdansk. Its aim was to present opportunities for development and economic cooperation between the two countries and to create space for building personal relationships.

The conference began with a Betawi culture dance performed by a group of female artists from Jakarta. The guests were welcomed by the Deputy Marshal of the Pomorskie Province, Leszek Bonna and the Vice President of Agencja Rozwoju Pomorza S.A. Piotr Ciechowicz.

Participants listened to economic lectures about the Indonesian market. During the panel discussion, entrepreneurs shared their experiences related to international expansion in that part of the world.

The meeting in Gdansk enabled Pomeranian entrepreneurs to become familiar with the current state of relations between our countries, as well as to identify new business opportunities. The networking segment facilitated relationship-building, encouraging direct conversations and the establishment of valuable contacts

The event was attended by more than 170 people, including representatives of 40 Pomeranian companies representing the following sectors:
•    food
•    construction, interior finishing
•    IT/ICT
•    transport, forwarding, logistics
•    medicine, pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, health care services
•    automation, electronics, mechanics, machinery, equipment
•    marine, shipbuilding, offshore, yachting.

The large Indonesian delegation included Acep Somantri from the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Fadli Zon - Minister of Culture of Indonesia, Governors of Bali and NTT and many Indonesian companies. The PAIH Foreign Trade Office in Jakarta was represented by Cezary Filipek and Jacek Kołomyjec.

The Indonesia–Poland Business Forum is yet another event demonstrating the potential of the Indonesian market to Pomeranian entrepreneurs. Further events are planned for the autumn.

Indonesia is a key economic partner of Poland in Southeast Asia. Polish entrepreneurs’ interest in operating in this market is growing rapidly, along with the value of bilateral trade. Both parties are actively working to deepen their economic cooperation, which was manifested by the Indonesia-Poland Business Forum.

The event was organised by Pomerania Development Agency Co., the PAIH Foreign Trade Office in Jakarta, the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Poland and the Pomerania Association in Asia.
