The first edition of the project supporting export activity has ended

On April 25, 2023, a conference concluding the Pomeranian Export Broker project was held in Gdańsk. The aim of this event was to present and promote the project results, as well as present the assumptions of its new edition.

Pomeranian Export Broker is a project that supports export activity of companies from our region. Its first edition was an initiative of Pomeranian Business Support Institutions and it is a partner project that is implemented by Pomerania Development Agency – the project leader, Regional Pomeranian Chamber of Commerce, Free Entrepreneurship Association, Gdansk Business Incubator STARTER, INVEST GDA and Pomeranian Science and Technology Park. Each of these institutions is responsible for the execution of specific actions planned in the project.

The Pomorskie is a region with a huge export potential, which is supported and strengthened by the ‘Pomeranian Export Broker’ project. It is a comprehensive export support system addressed to micro, small and medium-sized enterprises based in the Pomorskie Region which want to start or develop their businesses on foreign markets.

‘Pomeranian Export Broker’ is the first in Poland comprehensive support system for companies operating on foreign markets. The project offered co-financing for participation in trade fairs and economic missions around the world, as well as participation in economic events aimed at supporting exports and business on foreign markets. Entrepreneurs had the opportunity to meet experienced exporters, establish cooperation with foreign business partners and other companies from the region. 

As part of the ‘Pomeranian Export Broker’ offer, companies were able to  explore their export potential, gain knowledge on legal, customs, tax, and marketing issues, as well as access current information on exports and selected markets. 

Since 2016, companies from almost all industries and fields have participated, from IT, Robotics and Automation, through the production of artistic products, furniture, anti-drone systems, ships service, underwater services, and the implementation of chemical analysis services. 

The figures summarizing the program speak for themselves. During the seven years of the ‘Pomeranian Export Broker’ project, we have managed to support nearly 2.5 k enterprises, organized more than 100 trips to trade fairs, missions or other economic events, and a total of more 150 seminars or meetings. 

Thanks to the participation in the ‘Pomeranian Export Broker’ project, entrepreneurs had the opportunity to gain knowledge, experience, and support, which will enable them to effectively conduct export activities and increase their share in domestic exports. The project had a real impact on the economic development of the region, and thus contributed to increasing the competitiveness of Polish companies on foreign markets.
