Maritime
The maritime industry is one of the most dynamically developing sectors of the region's economy. The product portfolio of the Tri-City shipyards includes, among others: highly specialized vessels such as cable bridges, heavy-duty jack-ups and LNG-powered vessels, wind towers, arctic container ships and exclusive yachts.
A feature of the shipbuilding industry is its global nature. Contracts come from all over the world and are performed not only in Poland, but also in other European and non-European shipyards. The industry implements many innovations. Ships with ecological propulsion, such as hydrogen or hybrids, are built. Pomeranian shipyards also offer reconstruction of vessels and retrofitting them with, among others, ballast water treatment systems.
In the Pomeranian region, in addition to production and service companies, there are also two large research and design centers that support the shipbuilding industry: Centrum Projektowo-Badawcze Okrętów S.A. (CTO) and Centrum Techniki Morskiej (CTM).
Poland is the world's leading yacht manufacturer. It is the second largest manufacturer of motor boats with a length of 6-9 m after the USA. 95% of the yachts built are intended for export.
Off-shore
In the Pomorskie Region, companies dealing in the production and repair of vessels used for transport, assembly and operation of off-shore facilities and equipment have a large export potential. These are suppliers of specialized facilities and equipment, such as: elements of offshore drilling platforms, elements of offshore wind power plants, offshore transformer stations, devices for converting sea wave energy, service booms, deep-sea mining systems, elements of shore service, elements of equipment for offshore service units and complete devices equipped with hydraulic and electrical installations. Significant potential also regards all types of repair, modernization and maintenance services, which are mainly provided by shipyards, as well as research services offered by Pomeranian entities.

- cargo ships, electric/hybrid ferries
